♦♦♦ My Thoughts ♦♦♦
I was a little disappointed because this book had such great reviews. Now the premise of this story is truly unique and I loved the concept of the book but it fell short in a few ways.
I did like Jayden. She had a great fun personality. She was a very direct, honest person. In the early parts of the book when she first travels back to her college days, it appears to be a love triangle with Callahan and Travis. However she never played games with them and there is no cheating. Honestly I’m not sure of the purpose of Travis’ character. He eventually never had any significant purpose in the book in my opinion.
I also love Packy who is Jayden’s college BFF. Their friendship plays a big role in this book and I loved how he was always there for her through thick and thin.
Overall I think this book needed some serious editing. It did not have to be this long. So many unnecessary scenes. There were so many scenes with Packy and Jayden going to eat lunch and describing what they were eating and having conversations that had no bearing on the progress of the story.
The steam in this book was great. It was really fun to see Jayden know exactly how to seduce Callahan seeing as she was married to him for 20 years and knew exactly what he liked. They did get their HEA but I did not completely buy into that ending. It kind of ended a little suddenly with one of the characters just magically having a change of heart.
So overall this book was ok but I was a little underwhelmed.
