Genre: Young Adult Fantasy
Series: Book 1 of 2
POV: Multiple

Criminal prodigy Kaz Brekker has been offered wealth beyond his wildest dreams. But to claim it, he’ll have to pull off a seemingly impossible heist:

Break into the notorious Ice Court
(a military stronghold that has never been breached)

Retrieve a hostage
(who could unleash magical havoc on the world)

Survive long enough to collect his reward
(and spend it)

Kaz needs a crew desperate enough to take on this suicide mission and dangerous enough to get the job done – and he knows exactly who: six of the deadliest outcasts the city has to offer. Together, they just might be unstoppable – if they don’t kill each other first.

♦♦♦ My Thoughts ♦♦♦

Absolute perfection! This story was so action packed and the twists and turns had me on the edge of my seat.

The development of each character in this book was so cleverly done. This is supposedley a YA as all the characters were teenagers but they felt way more mature. We also get not one but two broken male heroes that I just absolutely loved. I cannot wait to read more of Kaz and Matthias.

This story is light on the romance but it is there with the promise of more in book 2. I cannot recommend this book enough!
