New Adult College Romance
Heat Level: HOT
Series: Book 3 (Standalone)
He’s not a douchebag; but that doesn’t stop his friends from turning him into one.
MY FRIENDS WANT ME TO GET LAID.
So much so that they plastered my ugly mug all over campus, in bold printed letters:
Are you the lucky lady who’s going to break our roommate’s cherry?
Him: socially awkward man with average-sized penis looking for willing sexual partner. You: must have a pulse. He will reciprakate with oral. Text him at: 555-254-5551
The morons can’t even spell. And the texts I’ve been receiving are what wet dreams are made of. But I’m not like these douchebags, no matter how hard they try to turn me into one.
THIS ISN’T THE KIND OF ATTENTION I WANT.
One text stands out from hundreds. One number I can’t bring myself to block. She seems different. Hotter, even in black and white.
However, after seeing her in person, I know she’s not the girl for me. But my friends won’t let up–they just don’t get it. Douchebags or not, there’s one thing they’ll never understand: GIRLS DON’T WANT ME.
♦♦♦ My Thoughts ♦♦♦
Wow! Well this was unexpectedly freaking fantastic.
I did not like the first book in this series. It was a DNF for me. However, this book I loved! I think in the majority of college romance books if one of the MCs is insecure, it’s normally the heroine. This was unique in that it was the hero who felt inadequate. He was so sweet but so insecure and he was so oblivious to the fact that the heroine was attracted to him because he couldn’t fathom how someone like her could be interested in him.
Now I was not a fan of the heroine initially. She seemed really arrogant at first. She made it clear that she knew she was gorgeous and guys were attracted to her. After a while though, she started growing on me. Why does it work for your usual romance where the guy is the cocky and arrogant one in the relationship? Why can’t the girl take this role? Well she did and it totally worked in this story.
Also holy hotness! When these two finally get their act together, the chemistry is insane. This was such a sexy book and I loved how the heroine took the lead!
The whole storyline is so different and refreshing from your usual college NA. Well done Sara Ney!
