♦♦♦ My Thoughts ♦♦♦

My favorite Contemporary Romance Book of 2017!!!!

I was so emotional reading this book. The writing is flawless. I almost didn’t read this book because the ending of Grip seemed complete to me with no cliffhanger. I’m so glad I did though because even though I loved Grip, Still took it to another level!

The love and passion Grip and Bristol have for each other is absolutely insane. Despite all the haters rebuking their inter-racial relationship, including the media, mentors and even family, their love held strong and never wavered.

“In a culture, in a climate that would push people like us apart, we choose to be together. We fight to be together.”

Now I have to talk about Grip. Sweet baby Jesus. Calling him my favorite book boyfriend seems insufficient and frivolous. This man is a king among men! He is a poet filled with conviction and passion. Even with his success, he does not forget where he came from. His love for Bristol will make you SWOON! The vows he wrote for their wedding still gives me goose bumps. I keep reading that scene over and over. Of course let’s not forget sexy as hell. And you have to love a man that loves his Mama.

The second part of this book was the most emotional. Grip and Bristol had to go through some trials and they had some difficult decisions to make. I felt their pain in my bones but they survived because they held on to each other and refused to let go.

This book consumed me. It was absolutely brilliant. This was real life romance filled with hard truths. It’s because of books like this why I read!

6 Stars!
