She was my first love.
She was my first hate.
The very sun in my world tried to burn me alive with her lies and cruelty.
Until I dimmed her light for good…
Or so I thought.
Now she’s back.
Cracked. Broken. Lost.
And for the first time in a long time, I feel free.
Free from our past. Free from my present that suffocates me. Free to destroy her future.
Her misery is my music.
Thrilling. Invigorating. Intoxicating.
For so long, all I’ve done is hate her.
So why do I love her?

Wow! Just wow! I’m not even sure how to review this book because the shock factor alone made this a great book for me. So I’m going to try to do a spoiler free review.
First of all, I realize that K Webster has a thing for twins after reading 3 of her books. Anyway, Rome and Raven are twins who have a very difficult abusive home environment and they both carry emotional baggage that puts them on the outer social sphere at school. This sets up a series of tragic events that stem from bullying.
This book was painful, heartbreaking and soul wrenching. It was just a little dark but not overwhelmingly so. The twists and turns had me so excited to keep reading. I could never predict what was going to happen.
Of course in true K Webster fashion, this book was all out sexy.
She licks her lips and my cock jumps in her grip. “I am not a sheep,” she purrs. “I am a wolf.”… She kneels before me, a queen before her king, and licks those fucking lips again.
There is a bit of a mystery/suspense in this book that adds to the overall effect of the story and in the end we do have resolution with good trumping evil.
This was such a unique story, which I’m realizing is a K Webster specialty. This book can’t really compare to any other that I’m aware of. It was just a bit on the freak side, dark, sexy and overall a great read.
