“Look The Part is my new top favorite from the inimitable Jewel E. Ann. Delightfully quirky, funny but deeply emotional, Look The Part was pitch perfect. I loved everything about this five-star read!” – USA Today bestseller Ella James

Flint Hopkins finds the perfect tenant to rent the space above his Minneapolis-based law office.
All the T’s are crossed and I’s dotted on Ellen’s application. Her references are good. And she’s easy on the eyes.
Flint discovers Ellen Rodgers, Board-Certified Music Therapist, plays music. Bongos, guitars, singing—not Beethoven administered through noise-cancelling headphones.
The cut-throat attorney serves up an eviction notice to the bubbly, constantly-humming redhead who’s too sexy for her own good. But luck is on Ellen’s side when Flint’s autistic son, Harrison, takes an instant liking to her. A single dad can’t compete with guitars—and rats. Yes, she has pet rats.
This woman …
She’s annoyingly happy with a constant need to touch him—adjust his tie, button his shirt, invade his space, and mess with his mind.
She must go.
Their lust-hate relationship escalates into something beautiful and tragic. This sexy, romantic-comedy explores the things we want, the things we need, and the impossible decisions parents and children make to survive.

5+++ I want this Life Stars
I am so blown away right now. This book had so much heart! This was an emotional, sexy read with just the right amount of humor.
“God… you sure do look the part, Flint Hopkins.”
He grins. “What part is that?”
“My man, of course.”
“I like that part.”
Flint is a very troubled man. He has a huge burden on his shoulders. He is always serious, never allows himself to have fun. His focus is raising his son Harry who has Aspergers. He has a new tenant Ellen, a music therapist, that enters into their lives and shakes things up a bit.
Flint is thrown off by Ellen’s happy go lucky personality. She constantly hums and smiles and nothing seems to get her down. His initial feelings towards her are of annoyance and frustration. After only a few days he actually gives her an eviction notice because he may have overlooked the part where a music therapist actually plays music which disturbs him. However, his son Harry has formed a bond with Ellen which makes things more complicated.
The banter between this couple was hilarious. Eventually their attraction cannot be denied and this book was the best kind of sexy with just enough teasing and aticipation. However, Flint starts to realize he wants more than just a physical relationship with Ellen. He carries around a world of guilt though and he doesn’t feel like he deserves her.
With each passing second she sucks me into this unfamiliar world of hers. She’s smart and so damn sexy. That’s enough to get my attention. But then I blink and she shines light onto my world in a way I’ve never seen it before.
Flint was my perfect hero. He was sarcastically funny and witty. By the end he was hopelessly romantic and there were so many moments in this book I actually held my breath. The tenderness and love he showed Ellen was completely swoon worthy. Above all this though was his love for his son. He was such an amazing father to Harry and he just about stole my heart.
This is a book that will stay with you for a long time. The struggles these characters went through were real. While there is a HEA, this was no fairytale. We get a real life story with real life consequences. The ending is not sugar coated or fake. It ends with two people who decided not to quit life and reach for their second chance.
“I said I want this life.”
“This life? With me?”
“Yes,” she whispers.
“Then take it, I’m giving it to you.”
I already know this is going to be one of my top reads for this year. Everyone needs to read this book!
