This read promises to be absolutely unforgettable.
Unforgettable by Eva Charles is HERE!
I should have stayed away from her. I knew better.
But instead, I treated every single day like it was my damn birthday, and she was a luscious devil’s food cake slathered in creamy icing.
I’d spent my entire life being cautious, never took any real risks.
And I did it to shield the people I loved from needless worry.
To protect them.
He didn’t want children.
She couldn’t imagine a life without them —
There are few occasions in one’s life where the body warns of impending doom.
This was one of them.
Unforgettable is the fourth book in The New American Royals Series, and may be read and enjoyed as a standalone contemporary romance.
Readers are advised that a child dies in this story. Due to strong language and sexual content, this book is not suitable for anyone under the age of 18.
An emotional love story that had heartbreaking moments but also lessons of forgiveness and healing. This is my first novel by Eva Charles and I appreciated how beautifully this book was written. The story flowed so easily and once I started, I was unable to put it down.
Gabe has earned himself a reputation as a playboy. The truth is, he is still struggling with tragedy he experienced as a child and this has led him to a fear of not wanting his own kids. Hence, he keeps women at a distance to discourage long term relationships. He is kind of thrown off balance when he meets Helena. She is quite different from the women he normally dates. She is not stick thin, not always polished and put together but he finds himself so drawn to her.
The attraction between these two was so palpable and the chemistry and banter was spot on. Despite the sexual tension, I loved that Gabe and Helena took their time to build a friendship. Their budding relationship takes a huge hit and we see how hard they had to work to heal and rebuild their love. There are moments in this book that Gabe was not my most favorite person even though I understood where he was coming from. His own pain caused him to make some really bad decisions. This is not a book of instant gratification. This is a real life love story and the author takes us on a journey of learning how true forgiveness allows us to make room in our heart for love to bloom. I loved seeing Gabe moving forward past his fears and becoming the amazing man we know him to be.
I loved all the secondary characters. Helena is a part of a huge family. She has supportive sisters and overbearing protective male cousins that tried to step in and protect her when Gabe stepped out of line. It was actually quite comical at times. I wished I had read the other books in the series to get some of their stories. However, this is a standalone and I don’t think it took away from Gabe and Helena’s story.
Try this one to experience a heartwarming love story that may be difficult to read at times but will take you on an amazing emotional journey.

Meet all of The New American Royals!
After being a confirmed city-girl for more than thirty-five years, Eva moved to beautiful Western Massachusetts in 2014. There, she found herself living in the woods with no job, no friends (unless you count the turkey, deer, and coyote roaming the backyard), and no children underfoot, wondering what on earth she’d been thinking. But as it turned out, it was the perfect setting to take all those yarns spinning in her head and weave them into romantic tales.
When she’s not writing, trying to squeeze information out of her tight-lipped sons, or playing with the two cutest dogs you’ve ever seen, Eva’s creating chapters in her own love story.
