It’s almost 2019 and that means it’s time for my 2018 wrap up! I read 177 books this year and still counting! I’m really happy I got to experience so many great books and authors but that also makes choosing my favorites extremely difficult.
BEST COVERS- TOP 5
There were so many great covers this year so I had to count a series as one cover.
Lark Cove Series by Devney Perry
Seriously! How gorgeous are these all together?! You want to read these even before reading the blurb.
A Wish For Us by Tillie Cole
This cover is not only beautiful and unique. After reading this book, the significance of this cover image makes it even more amazing.
Gray Springs University by Ella Fields
The Real by Kate Stewart
Salt by Mara White
This cover is so fresh! I love when covers are significant to the story and this urban feel is so relevant to the book.
BEST HEROINES- TOP 3
Banner from Block Shot by Kennedy Ryan: A Badass latina heroine of stength.
Mercedes from The Smallest Part by Amy Harmon: A strong, selfless heroine who sacrificed her own happiness for others.
Hazel from Josh and Hazel’s Guide to not Dating by Christina Lauren: A quirky and over the top character that stayed true to herself.
BEST HEROES- TOP 3
Weston from the Beautiful Hearts Duet by Emma Scott: This hero’s written and spoken word flowed straight from his heart with passion and fervor and his love for the heroine was all consuming.
Flint from Look the Part by Jewel E. Ann: A single brooding single father has never been more sexy and loveable.
Jonah from The Simple Wilde by K.A. Tucker: There was someting so sexy and endearing about this Alaskan pilot who loved the simple, rural way of life. He was compassionate and courageous and also fun and mischievous.
FAVORITE NEW-TO-ME AUTHORS
I actually enjoyed quite a few new authors this year that have been on my TBR for a while but I chose these amazing ladies because after I read one of their books, I kept going back for more and have now read several of their books over the course of this year. I can strongly recommend EVERY book I’ve read by them!
I picked up Dylan’s Symbol of Love series early this year and I instantly fell in love with her writing. I think I’ve read all of her published books except for one and recommend them all.
Dylan Allen is a Texas girl with a serious case of wanderlust.
A self-proclaimed happily ever junkie, she loves creating stories where her characters chase their own happy endings.
When she isn’t writing or reading, eating or cooking, she and her family are planning their next adventure.
This author is officially one of my favorite small town romance authors. Her books are sweet, sexy and emotional and the added element of suspense is not uncommon in her stories.
Devney is the USA Today bestselling author of the Jamison Valley series. She lives in Montana with her husband and two children. After working in the technology industry for nearly a decade, she abandoned conference calls and project schedules to enjoy a slower pace at home with her kids. She loves reading and, after consuming hundreds of books, decided to share her own stories. Devney loves hearing from readers!

I regret taking so long to read this author. I love her hot alpha males and her strong heroines. Her storytelling skills are unparalleled and her books are seriously some of the most entertaining I’ve read this year.
A New York Times, #1 Wall Street Journal, and USA Today bestselling author of over twenty novels, Meghan March has been known to wear camo face paint and tromp around in woods wearing mud-covered boots, all while sporting a perfect manicure. She’s also impulsive, easily entertained, and absolutely unapologetic about the fact that she loves to read and write smut. Her past lives include slinging auto parts, selling lingerie, making custom jewelry, and practicing corporate law. Writing books about dirty talking alpha males and the strong, sassy women who bring them to their knees is by far the most fabulous job she’s ever had.
