Release Blitz & Review | Letters To Molly by Devney Perry

Molly Alcott didn’t expect
to open her mailbox one summer morning and find an old letter stuffed between
bills and a supermarket flyer. Penned in familiar handwriting, dated over
fifteen years ago, the letter was written to Molly after her first date with the
man she’ll never forget.

Week after week, new letters appear. Each marks an event in
the history of their epic love affair. Each heals a wound. Each holds the
confession of the man who still owns Molly’s heart.

The letters are full of promise, hope and love, but truth be
told, Molly wishes she could unread them all.

Because the man who wrote these letters is not the one
sending them.

How do I explain the level of emotions this book brought out of me? I went from heartbreak to longing to swooning and I am just in absolute awe of Devney Perry’s writing! This book starts off with the couple divorced and this is their second chance story. There is something about a couple who made vows to each other, lost their way and then get the chance to find their way back to each other that just speaks to my heart.

Can I tell you how much Molly and Finn broke my heart??!! Why wasn’t love enough? These two were obviously soul mates. From their first encounter we see the chemistry and the connection that so many people will never find in their lifetime. My heart hurt so much for them! They had the perfect family with two beautiful children and they lost it.

They say hindsight is 20/20 and that’s kind of the perspective we get with this story as Molly starts getting letters from Finn which he wrote over the span of their relationship from the very beginning up to the end. We see how important communication is in a marriage and how the lack of can bring demise to any relationship. I found this book extremely realistic. This author dug deep and exposed the areas of weakness where marriages can fall apart. This story felt so raw and personal, deeply emotional and overwhelmingly powerful.

There is not only heartbreak though. I did promise you swooning and there was lots of it! Oh Finn! This man holds my heart! He was so much more than I was expecting. He surprised me in the best of ways and once he recognized his mistakes, he owned it. His determination to claim back the family he lost tugged on my heartstrings and I just COULD. NOT. GET. ENOUGH.

A passionate, heartwarming and uplifting story of second chance love that I highly recommend!
