Book Review | Say You Still Love Me by K.A. Tucker

say you still love me Life is a mixed bag for Piper Calloway.

On the one hand, she’s a twenty-nine-year-old VP at her dad’s multibillion-dollar real estate development firm, and living the high single life with her two best friends in a swanky downtown penthouse. On the other hand, she’s considered a pair of sexy legs in a male-dominated world and constantly has to prove her worth. Plus, she’s stuck seeing her narcissistic ex-fiancé—a fellow VP—on the other side of her glass office wall every day.

Things get exponentially more complicated for Piper when she runs into Kyle Miller—the handsome new security guard at Calloway Group Industries, and coincidentally the first love of her life.

The guy she hasn’t seen or heard from since they were summer camp counsellors together. The guy from the wrong side of the tracks. The guy who apparently doesn’t even remember her name.

Piper may be a high-powered businesswoman now, but she soon realizes that her schoolgirl crush is not only alive but stronger than ever, and crippling her concentration. What’s more, despite Kyle’s distant attitude, she’s convinced their reunion isn’t at all coincidental, and that his feelings for her still run deep. And she’s determined to make him admit to them, no matter the consequences.

This was a highyly enjoyable read that unbelievably was able to pack SO MANY of my favorite tropes into one story! It’s a second chance love story with characters from different social classes. It’s an office romance and also the perfect blend of young adult and contemporary romance as there is back and forth from the past to the present.

There are so many levels to this book. It’s light and funny in some parts, deeep and emotional in others and seriously sexy as well. I can’t get enough of young love! It is seriously the sweetest thing ever and watching 16 year old Piper and 17 year old Kyle fall in love was EVERYTHING! There were secret looks, hand holding, flirting and oh so much more! The setting of this story in a summer camp was just brilliant and gave it a reminiscent and wistful feel for my own childhood and I’m sure many others.

If it’s one thing I know about KA Tucker, it’s that she doesn’t shy away from difficult topics in her books. Piper is now a rich and successful heroine who is about to take over a multi-billion dollar firm and Kyle is a security guard who works in the building. Obviously an unlikely pair but this author did an amazing job of tackling all the issues facing this couple who come from two different worlds. The way their love story unfolded felt realistic and they earned their HEA with the obstacles they had to overcome.

This book is also about friendship and I loved the camaraderie of this group of friends that stood the test of time. I get overly emotional whenever I read this author’s books and this was no exception. The ending came as a surprise and while I didn’t exactly love how the story played out towards the end, my heart felt ALL the regret and pain but also hopefulness and absolution.

Another heartbreakinlgy beautiful romance from KA Tucker that I more than recommend!
