MY REVIEW
This book needs to come with multiple warning signs. There is nothing pretty or sweet with this romance. In fact it’s one of the most messiest love stories I’ve ever read.
These characters make horrible, unscrupulous choices that had me cringing, screaming and overall extremely uncomfortable. I disagreed with almost every decision this heroine made. Then why in the world did I love her so much??? That’s a question I haven’t been able to answer myself. Very few authors have the ability to create characters we hate to love but Lucia Franco achieved it with this one.
The age gap between the MCs is probably my most favorite aspect of this book. A 21 year old college girl student trying to make ends meet and a sexy and successful 52 year old silver fox had the most amazing chemistry! Their relationship is forbidden in so many ways and of course this heightened the experience for me. James is the upper crust, tattooed sugar daddy I promise you will fall in love with. His desire, hunger and desparation for Aubrey had me all types of bothered. Many people will have differing opinions on this book but I think everyone will agree this book was downright schmexy!
This book takes us to a hidden underworld of Manhattan’s elite where you can pretty much get anything or anybody for the righ price. Morals are left at the door and we see how easily Aubrey loses herself. There are surprises in the plot I never saw coming. While I basically disagreed with every life choice our heroine made, I had to give this book a high rating for the wide range of emotions I experienced while reading this book.
I have to mention this book was unecessarily long for me. While this book was hot, I could have done with 5-10 less sex scenes. Lol. Overall a great read. Angst galore in this one my friends. So hold tight for the ride of your life!
